I believe that it's like Sam K says: Verizon has all the stock sitting in their warehouses.

So if you want Verizon's 700p right away, just order it from Verizon, and not from Palm. Most people buy a phone direct from the carrier and not the manufacturer anyway.

Then you can enjoy Verizon's far better network. I live in Florida and I know with the recent hurricanes that Verizon was the only network to keep functioning during the hurricanes. That's why the State of Florida and all its govt. agencies switched to Verizon; they're the only ones that keep working during the hurricanes.
