In Europe the model will be called SGH-X820. Thin it may be, but it is also strong with its fibreglass-infused plastic body. Everthing works well and there are quite a lot of functions but lacks voice-recognition for eg. handsfree dialling. But battery life is a little short. Maybe because my battery is still new. Hopefully it will start to last longer after a few more cycles of charge and discharge.

Jie Hao

Comments on Samsung unveils "world's thinnest" 6.9mm phone

I think this is a pretty poor designed phone for its generation. Battery life is poor: if you actually use the phone it it will hardly last a day. The screen goes completely blank if you don't use the phone; you will have to press a button to see if you have an sms or missed call. During charging it will light up your night time room; no way you can dim or turn off the screen then. Blue tooth performance is barely acceptable: uploading a 80k picture takes something like 2-3 minutes so uploading an mp3 is almost unimaginable. Sound quality during a call is also worse than the phones I used before. It seems that samsung almost comprimised everything else to archive the flatness of this phone. Don't buy it you will regret it as I do. I am re-activating my 4 year old siemens which weighted slightly more had 3 times better battery life so you don't need to charge it every day and also the audio quality was a lot better. Oh yeah and it was cheaper. Unbelievable how technology can actually worsen over time.

acelpop

Comments on Samsung unveils "world's thinnest" 6.9mm phone

its so sexy and thin a purchased one in the middle east and its thin and sexy.. the features are also impressive as stated above

adam

Comments on Samsung unveils "world's thinnest" 6.9mm phone

The T519 appears almost identical to this phone.
