Nokia keeps 'em coming: possible N83 spotted

Yeah Nokia, we know you're hot stuff with your ten phones per minute release pace, but even we're a bit surprised to be seeing spy photos of an N83 slider a mere week after the release of your N72, N73 and N93 handsets. The projected release date for this S60 phone is a bit more reasonable, stated as Q1 2007, but with the sweet specs listed we're really not sure we can wait that long. The phone supposedly has a 2.5-inch-ish 352 x 416 pixel screen, Bluetooth 2.0, microSD, 5 megapixel and VGA cameras, UMTS, 802.11b/g, 4GB HDD (alright, now it's just getting ridiculous), and mini-jack audio. While those specs read just like a fanboy wishlist, we can clearly see the dual cameras and some sort of slide up media controls from the pics, along with plenty of screen real estate. For the rest of it we'll just have to spend a year on Santa's "nice" list and hope he has some sway with the Nokia elves.

what with all the unclear pictures... either people are using ancient camera phones or they don't know how to use the macro function of their lenses

At the rate it's taking them to get the N80 shipped to the US, I doubt we'll see this thing before holiday season '07.

I was thinking of buying an N73 when it comes out this summer, but the one thing I missed in that phone was wifi. Now they're showing this with an even sweeter screen and wifi... What should I do? I can't afford to buy the N73 this summer and then upgrade again when this commes out.

Aight Nokia, You guys are really pissing me off now :@. Ive been using my old 8890 since Jan (gave my 7610 to someone) thinking "Ill just get the n80 when it comes". Then i read @ Mobile review that n80 has a crappy old processor & the initial reviews have been lukewarm, so i think "Hmm...ill just get the n72. Looks good + has features that appeal to me".

Now ure telling me that ppl investing EUR600+ in a phone will be banging their heads in 6 months cause ure upgrade is WAY better than the original ever was!! ? WTH!!!

& @ this rate, there will be a post on Engadget, sometime OCT/NOV saing "Possible n84 spotted" : 7mp Camera, UMTS, wifi (the latest generation then), 8gb Flash mem, 3inch 800x600 screen, Bluetooth 3.0, Micro sd (or w/e the new 'standard' is)......& we'll all be droooling....Sad! c_O

Tobbe and others, regardless of rumors, don't expect to see the N83 in the US until 2008... given the N80's timeline. In August 2005 I wanted to get the 6682 when it came out because it had nice, although not the fanciest, features and an affordable price. But once I got news of the N80 being scheduled for release possibly by the end of 2005 or Q1 or 2006, I decided to save up and get it instead of the 6682. Ha ha!! What a fool Nokia makes us all to be. Waiting, reading reviews, salivating over a product that has been on their Phone products "Expected Soon" list. I guess Nokia's definition of 'soon' is somewhere within a year or 2. But I'll be loyal to Nokia til the end... I just love their brand of mobile phones over any other co. Seeing that my funky 2-yr old phone still works, I guess I'll just wait til about Feb. 2007 and if the N83 isn't yet offered, I'm sure the N93 will be available - and maybe cheaper- by then. do not send money to nikophones nor ninkophone. always do a google search before sending money to foreign companies
