Doku-iruka Dolphin kid tracking "phone"

We're usually rather surprised with how many features get packed into kid-tracking phones over in Japan, but in the case of this Doku-iruka Dolphin "phone" they've managed to leave out everything but the tracking part. The Dolphin still connects to the PHS telecom network, reporting its location every five minutes, and featuring a button for the child to let the parent know they've arrived safely at school. The phone also features a strap that when pulled sounds an alarm and does the usual alerting of people. Parents can track the Dolphin on their own phone, and only have to pay $150 a year for the privilege, which doesn't seem terribly overpriced.
