Vodafone says no to selling stake in Verizon Wireless

And once again Vodafone puts the kibosh on selling their 45% stake of Verizon's wireless business, a little company you may have heard of by the name of Verizon Wireless. Perhaps VZW thought, as did we, that with Vodafone pulling their interests out of Japan with their then-impending sale to Softbank, that they may want to do the same in America. Guess not. Voda CEO Arun Sarin said, "We are happy with our position in the U.S. and have no current plans to exit," which makes sense -- if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Unless Verizon wants to pull a Hudsucker Proxy on this biz and kill themselves in the process, looks like they're gonna be stuck with the decision they made to split the risk (and the revenues) at the outset.
