Motorola delays shipments of GSM RAZRs
We were wondering ourselves why some RAZRs started
looking a little scarce on Cingular's website today when we caught wind that Motorola is apparently suspending and
recalling shipments of the GSM handsets, apparently due to an issue that would randomly drop calls and reset the phone.
Which, of course, means suspended sales of the devices, since they can't keep vending devices that might well be
defective. But according to Alan Buddendeck, Motorola's Global Director of Public Relations, the problem's all sorted
out now and everyone who doesn't have a RAZR already (we have, like, thirty) can resume their regularly scheduled
buying patterns within "in a matter of days."[Thanks to everyone who sent this in]

If you have 30, could you share the love and send one to me, a broke nursing student?

Isn't it about time Cingular started stocking the V3i?

Can I have one?

You know, Cingular has blamed this problem on their own network, amazing, Cingular deflecting blame...

Isn't it time for motorola to come out with a "better RAZR" design. I want to know when I can get one running WINDOWS SMARTPHONE. That would be a razr worth 200 bucks!

I just a RAZR from Compusa for renewing my contract. On the box, it says that the RAZR was manufactured in Feburary. Urrgg.... I'm on my way to go return the RAZR (its only 1 day old). I'll go get the Nokia N90 or something.

if you're into customizing phones then you've already updated to a better version of the phone's software or tweaked your own. Just saying...

This is not a Cingular issue. All GSM Motorola V3 Razr's have been recalled worldwide. The problem is not software issue but is actually a hardware issue. The hinge is the issue with the phone, not the service provider.

I TOLD you guys months ago that Motos were the craps. This problem is not uncommon, read any review like on CNET and people love them at the begining and then like all my friends 3 months down the road, only good for leveling those tables at the pub. BOO YOU MOTO...say hello to next gen NOKIA. My V600's been the same POS.

Interesting they are recognizing this problem on the Razr but my v551 does the same thing so now i am starting to think that cingular is not sucking but the phone is.

Does this mean they are being recalled? What do you do if you have one currently?
