Dual SIM Card Adapter requires neither cutting nor resets
We've certainly seen plenty of dual SIM card
adapters, but most options require you to either cut up your cards, turn off the phone to switch between accounts, or
both. The rather uninspiringly-named Dual SIM Card Adapter suffers from neither of these drawbacks, as it accepts
full-size cards and uses software to toggle between SIMs without the need for a reset. Of course this adapter takes
away from your phone's sleek facade, dangling precariously like some ungainly appendage, put sometimes you have to bite
the bullet and accept a style hit for the greater good. You can pick one of these wonders up for $27 at online retailer
Brando.[Via geekBlue]

Dual-SIM operation allows the use of two services without the need to carry two phones at the same time.

I've seen others like this one before. I wonder what phone's it's compatible with. The site that sells them has pictures of a Nokia S40 showing the menu to switch between SIMs.

I don't understand why no-one makes a mobile that accepts two SIM cards and is able to run them both at the same time. Well, obviously the hardware manuf. would prefer we buy two phones, but still from my standpoint i'm sick of carrying two devices around everywhere.

I bought one of these from Brando. It was really tough to get into my 6230 & the back never fit properly. Eventually I bought a faux dual sim back. It worked fine, but was terribly ugly. Eventually the whole phone broke, but that's neither here nor there (well- it is there- @ Nokia in FL awaiting repairs- again).

@havanahjoe
As I have been looking into this, I've done some research. I found a website that listst all phones that are compatible with this dual-sim adapter (They call it a "non-cut" version). Haven't bought it yet as I'm looking for other suppliers as well, maybe I can find it cheaper somewehere. Anyway, the link is: http://www.dual-sim.eu/overview_ii.php .
Kind regards,
