Motorola launches "salmon pink" SLVR L6
This really shouldn't come as
a surprise anymore, but Motorola is releasing a T-Mobile UK exclusive "salmon pink" version of the SLVR L6. You can score it
for "free" with a mere £5-a-month tacked on to your phone bill for 18 months. Please wake us when it's
over.

At first I felt like motorola was just capitalizing on the success of the razr, but the sliver has definately grown on me! I definately wouldn't mind having one, hint, hint...
hermes @ Mar 1st 2006 11:46AM
wow. err the shades of pink they used on the RAZR were ok. but that thing is hideous. looks like a glowing stick of bubble gum
David L. @ Mar 1st 2006 11:53AM
damn no wonder i smell some raw fish smell.
Fernando @ Mar 1st 2006 12:02PM
That has to be one of the ugliest phones!!!!!
Xultar @ Mar 1st 2006 12:13PM
Moto.
Painting existing products is not product development.
And that is the ugliest thing I've seen in a long time.

Usually Motorola scores bigtime when it comes to phone design... but this phone is UGLY.
Tamar G @ Mar 1st 2006 1:07PM
You all hate the phone, but that doesn't mean it's bad design. This phone is not designed to appeal to tech-interested guys named Fernando. They already have a sleek silver phone for that. It's designed to appeal to 12 year old girls who are Paris Hilton wannabes.
Swiss @ Mar 1st 2006 1:12PM
Ack, enough pink :(. This looks like a peptobismal bottle for your head.
Bunni @ Mar 1st 2006 1:57PM
I think that phone will be a nice compliment to my naturally curly hair. :P

If only Motorola would spend more time redesigning their user interface and less picking new colors for the phone housing...
daniel @ Mar 1st 2006 2:17PM
i saw a poster of this in carphone warehouse's window while walking home from school i thought who would buy that im glad theyre giving away a black slvr here and not this
Nate @ Mar 1st 2006 3:54PM
sigh, enough of the pink phones
the RAZR, Sprint's 200, 2300, and the lavender/purple Samusung phone.
The sick thing is this phone will be popular because of the color/shape, and not the features. Why was the iPod mini so popular? It came in pink. 4GB for $250 compared to 20GB for $300 was justifiable as long as it was pink, and I don't think anyone who gets this phone will mind the $5/mo charge (which comes out to $60 a year!) as long as they have the cutest phone.
Absolutely sick.
Eric @ Mar 1st 2006 3:57PM
nice stuff
Yalda Kako @ Mar 1st 2006 4:58PM
The only pink RAZR shade that isn't bad is the one on the V3c.
Andrew @ Mar 1st 2006 5:22PM
So is it only available in the UK?
Roman @ Mar 1st 2006 11:32PM
x_x arrgh, at least in pics looks very very bad.
Red_Munk!! @ Mar 1st 2006 11:54PM
I got my gf the Pink T-Mobile Nokia 6611 (is it?),
she loved it.
Dont think she'd be that happy with this thing.
a) looks bubble gum pink
b) whatever reminds you of Paris Hilton. No No!
James D @ Mar 2nd 2006 3:31AM
I think this phone really *is* in honor of Engadget Mobile's launch... Comparing the pink 'mobile' in the logo here to this thing isn't too far off!
Personally, I'd just like to get more of the non-pink phones from overseas available in the US sooner... V3x anyone?

I finally figured out the strtegy behind motorola selling female appealing phones they probably made some secret contract with the service providers so the women use all the minutes they guys have ti pay and the carries get rich
