It seems like US carriers aren't the only
ones teaming up to push communications bundles to consumers, the UK's Orange is now jumping into the fixed-line
telephone market to offer service bundles its to business customers. France Telecom, who owns both Orange and Internet
provider Wanadoo, has merged the two companies, and Orange will offer both landline and wireless service on one bill,
and at discounted rates for intercompany calling. Sounds great to us, but we would've hoped by now that wireless
service could be reliable enough to start replacing fixed services. That's clearly not the case yet, but this seems
more of a step back for a company like Orange, at least tech-wise

Just a few years ago, fixed-line telecoms, such as BT, were letting go of their mobile operations. Now mobile operators want to offer fixed. Makes you wonder about the rationality of business decisions.
