NEC e636 3G (UMTS) cellphone
NEC managed to pack in 3G
(UMTS) into their 13.9mm not-yet-announced e636 which makes it pretty slim for a 3G phone, although not-that-slim. Still, at
102mm (times two when open) it's one of the longer handsets you'll find. So it's no surprise to find this tri-band GSM
900/1800/1900 handset toting a 262K color LCD, Bluetooth, MP3 player with dedicated music key, 32MB on-board memory
with (unspecified) memory card slot expansion, and 2 megapixel camera under that big ol' hood. More pics after the
break.

Another phone that is tri-band (no 850). How hard can it be to make all phones quad band so they are truly world phones.

That is a pretty phone, and its really slim for UMTS! Wonder if it comes in more colours?
Cheers!

OH MY GOD. So many 3G phones being announced but just how many of them are coming to the US and when. I heard about Nokia N blah blah blah models, Samsumg blah blah blah models but they are still no where to be found in Cingular's "supposed to be 3G ready" network. I guess I am just going to stay away from the phone news and web sites for several months and see what happens (after the 1st Q of 06). I guess I will move to England and stay with my sister, LOL. Well, I am just kidding but this is really frustrated.
