Mozilla Minimo for Windows Mobile gets tabs
Say what you will about Mozilla Firefox and
its various memory leaks, it's still a pretty durn good browser, and now we're seeing its feature set make it into Windows Mobile devices like Opera before it.
Mozilla's Minimo, which renders pages with the same engine as Firefox (Google Maps support), has now been updated to
0.013 and now includes tabs, an RSS reader, a nicer interface, and better Windows Mobile 5.0 support. It's available
for download now, so we won't waste your time with any more banter.

Which is better? Opera or Minimo?

This program has to come out for Palm OS 5. It'd be a perfect fit for my UX50.

Man! This is awsome! It works rather well on my Toshiba e800. It seems to be one of the few programs I've come across that take advantage of the VGA resolution on my PDA. Excellent!

looks great. does it work on nokia mobiles? I have nokia 6260 with symbian os. currently it has ie but doesn't have much features. no multiple windows, no popups, etc.

Great news! I really would like to have mozilla in my old Ipaq... gonna test it right now!

I've tried both Opera and Minimo (every version since 0.07). I have to say that it's REALLY slow in load compared to Opera. Maybe this version is better (0.13). I'll run some tests.
darkmoon @ Feb 21st 2006 10:56AM
Yup. As I suspected. It's a good program, but totally slow compared to Opera. Tested on an iPAQ 5455 and Toshiba e355. Approximately about 15-20 second load time versus Opera's 1-3 second load time.
From a PDA perspective, the processor just can't handle such bloat. Either that, or the Mozilla guys have some major cash behind the scenes to fund their "fast" windows Mobile PDAs/phones. ;)

awesome concept but the program itself is too slow for daily use. not to mention it takes up a good amount of memory as well. once they fix the slow loading issues and how sluggish this program makes internet browsing feel, i will consider using it. untill then, i will still use opera, well at least untill it expires.
dennyhalim.com @ May 11th 2007 12:40AM
it's a fat huge bloated slow browser
