Windows Mobile 5.0 AKU2 to skip A2DP stereo Bluetooth?
WinMo, say it ain't so! Our pal Wouter over at Pocketinfo has it on authority from two sources at
Microsoft's Windows Mobile baby mama that WinMo 5.0 AKU2 -- the update that puts the push in Mobile's push email, as
well as adding Bluetooth stereo headset support -- will not be getting the A2DP profile after all. This would seem a
little odd and inconsistent with everything we know about the release (having seen shots of the A2DP profiler before,
like the one above), but if we really must wait until the AKU 2.2
ROM, then wait (unhappily) we shall.

Oh, it better not be true! There's gonna be A LOT of people pissed if this is true! We have waited this long and to do this to us is just unforgiveable!

I am using a2dp for a long time on my SPVM1000 (Qtek 2020) with Windows Mobile 5 update thanks to buzzdev.net! Personally I don't care, there is always some nice geeks finding ways adding this kind of stuff also on xda-developers.com. But for the average Win Mobile User this is very bad news...

There is NO WAY this can be true.
Unless it actually is true, and it better not be!
Unforgivable, it would certainly be.
Begun, the MS Flame Wars have.

I have see it before, features advertized and than not made availble... Deadlines made, and deadlines passed

This doesn't surprise me as I heard from Cingular that they are specifically testing the MSFP - not the A2DP.

I just don't get it. I really hope this isn't true! It's been bad enough waiting for AKU2 and with most OEMs pushing for a March release, we were all getting hopeful. Why can't M$ just SH*T and get off the pot on this issue? If Widcomm or IVT (BlueSoleil) had full featured Bluetooth stacks for WM5, they would have sold a ton by now.

This is not true. AKU2 *does* contain support for A2DP aka "Wireless Stereo".
