Microsoft picks up MotionBridge for mobile search

Microsoft has bought French mobile-search software provider MotionBridge, and plans to use the company's technology to improve its own mobile search service, which is currently part of MSN Mobile. MotionBridge already provides search services to some major cell carriers, including Sprint, O2 and Orange, and Microsoft plans to maintain those services.
